Building a sustainable future for St Ives
Vision
Imagine a St Ives where residents and visitors are happy and healthy, where work pays and where businesses can prosper through a commitment to the planet alongside profit.
Where traditional and modern, young and old can collaborate, learn and contribute to making our town inclusive, creative, connected, sustainable and resilient.
Aims
St Ives Workstation CIC aims to establish a Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development in St Ives.
We want to build pathways that allow people, environment and economy to work together to make a difference for St Ives Bay in terms of resilience, prosperity, wellbeing and planet.
What is a CIC?
St Ives Workstation CIC is a Community Interest Company (CIC) registered with Companies House, governed by a Board of Directors. A Community Interest Company is a special form of non-charitable limited company, which exists primarily to benefit a community or with a view to pursuing a social purpose.
Our Projects
Bayspace St Ives
Our first project is Bayspace. A modern, flexible hub for micro and small businesses in the heart of St Ives. It has modern workspaces, hot-desking and collaborative meeting rooms and breakout areas. The Orangery is a large events and conference space with catering facilities and is available to hire for corporate away days, workshops, demo’s and community events.
Bayspace is a business and community enterprise hub that facilitates workshops, skills, training and community projects that will improve the quality of life for people living and working in St Ives.
