Let’s build a sustainable future for St Ives
Vision
Imagine a St Ives where residents and visitors are happy and healthy, where work pays and where businesses can prosper through a commitment to planet alongside profit. Imagine a St Ives where traditional and modern, young and old can collaborate, learn and contribute to making our town inclusive, creative, connected, ambitious, sustainable and resilient.
Aims
St Ives Workstation CIC aims to establish a Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development in St Ives. We want to build pathways that enable people, environment and economy to work together to make a greater difference for St Ives Bay in terms of resilience, prosperity, wellbeing and planet.
What is a CIC?
St Ives Workstation CIC is a Community Interest Company (CIC) registered with Companies House, governed by a Board of Directors. A Community Interest Company is a special form of non-charitable limited company, which exists primarily to benefit a community or with a view to pursuing a social purpose.
Our Projects
Bayspace St Ives
Our first project is Bayspace; a modern, flexible space for micro and small companies in the heart of St Ives. Alongside an innovative Enterprise Project Office, there will be hot-desking and collaborative meeting areas, conference and workshop facilities. There will also be a flexible space for sole-traders and others to deliver services, workshops, demo’s and activities from maker/craft workshops to app development training and much more.
Bayspace will provide a physical hub that will have space and resources to play a front-seat role in consultation, training, studies, awareness-raising and projects to improve the quality of life for people living and working in St Ives.
